About Pace Athletics

Pace Academy Athletics serves as an extension of our school’s academic program. While we place great value on winning and competing at a high level, we believe that the process and life lessons learned from team sports are of primary importance.
Through sports, our student-athletes develop leadership skills, empathy, sportsmanship and resiliency—character traits that will serve our graduates well beyond their years in a Pace uniform. We encourage our student-athletes to take risks, and we strive to provide them with the tools to be confident in all situations.
The 2016-2017 school year marked a milestone for Pace Athletics—a move from the Georgia High School Association’s (GHSA) Class AA to Class AAA. Pace is the smallest school in Class AAA, but our student-athletes have excelled. Their success is the result of hard work, outstanding coaching, a commitment to excellence and more than a decade of strategic planning.
We truly embrace and embody the Pace motto, “To have the courage to strive for excellence.” We THINK BIG.

SCHOOL-WIDE ATHLETIC PARTICIPATION
Physical education in the Lower School develops basic movement skills and athletic fundamentals while encouraging fun. Our curriculum uses a wide variety of skill-based activities to build cardiovascular endurance, muscle development, agility and speed. We also offer an after-school intramural program to fourth- and fifth-grade students.
